Utah Division of Housing and Community Development to Host COSCDA Academy Housing Conference
SALT LAKE CITY, UT – April 14, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — Some of the nation’s leading housing professionals will offer insight into basic federal housing programs that are used today to assist low and moderate income persons during a three-day conference hosted by the Utah Division of Housing and Community Development in Salt Lake City May 9-11.
“Housing 101”will feature such programs as Section 8, Public Housing, homeownership, rental issues, rehabilitation and tax-based housing programs. The objective of the three-day conference is to provide a basic overview of these programs for state and local practitioners and to offer insight into how these programs can effectively be managed at the state and local level.
“We hope to provide a platform for the mutually beneficial exchange of ideas and solutions to some of the most prominent and difficult issues this field faces today,” said Gordon Walker, Utah Division of Housing and Community Development Director and COSCDA President.
The conference is under the auspices of the COSCDA Academy and costs $349 for COSCDA members and $399 for non-members.
